Volkswagen is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its first ever mid-size luxury SUV, Touraeg. To mark this occassion, the company introduces the special edition model, Touraeg X for the US buyers. The company went on declaring only 1000 units of this edition model will be produced. The journey of this SUV commenced from 2002 Paris Motor Show, since then it has been doing well in the market. The SUV commemorates its decade long journey in the market, which has also proved its worth in terms of performance, advanced technologies and premium quality ride. While the limited edition model is based on Touareg TDI Clean Diesel Lux variant, while gets a set of distinct features added to its interiors and exteriors.
On its exteriors, the Touareg X sports 19-inch “Moab” aluminium alloy wheels, stunning Moonlight blue pearl paint, attractive LED lighting and ofcourse the Touareg X badging. Inside the cabin, the luxury SUV gets more premium in terms of comfort, and the luxury bar has been raised using Vienna leather in Black Anthracite on seats and ebony wood accents on dashboard and on door as well. Moreover, there are also illuminated sill plates, piano black accents and faux aluminium pedal covers.
In terms of engine specs, the Touareg X is powered by the Volkswagen's 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 TDI Clean Diesel engine. The engine returns an impressive 240bhp of power and 550Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Under the standard equipments, Touareg X has got an extended list of elements added that includes, panoramic sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlights, dual zone climate, heated front seats and GPS.
