Nissan India has announced that it would be increasing the prices of its entire product range by 2 to 4 percent come January 2014. This rise in prices has come in effect due to the impact of the depreciating rupee as well as the rising input cost. Thus come January, customers would see an increase in prices of Micra, Sunny, Evalia as well as their popular SUV - the Terrano.
"Although the rupee situation seems to have stabilized, the higher exchange rate has impacted costs all-round, making price increase inevitable. Inflation-led rise in input costs and raw materials costs also cannot be ignored at this point. The price increase is marginal and we assure our valued customers that we will continue to offer them globally renowned products at affordable prices.” Nissan delivers cutting-edge technology, distinctive design and a rewarding experience to all its customers. In India, Nissan has been constantly expanding its innovative and exciting product range across hatchback, sports car, MUV, SUV and sedan segments", commented Richard D Spitzer, Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO), Hover Automotive India (Nissan’s National Sales Company).
