It has been revealed that Jaguar is working extensively to launch the next generation of its premium saloon Jaguar XF by 2016. Moreover, it is also to be believed that development work on the next generation of its flagship model - Jaguar XJ is also going on at a brisk pace.
Recently, Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar confirmed the same by stating that," I’m designing the next XF and thinking about the next XJ". Jaguar will line up this exquisite saloon XF against the likes of BMW 5-series, where it is quite evident that it will be a battle of plushness and luxury. It is expected that the next generation Jaguar XF will retain some of its family traits and might not be completely modified.
XF is one of the most prestigious assets of Jaguar brand and it has increased Jaguar's sales graph year on year; taking its unmatchable legacy to an another level. Introduced in 2008, the saloon underwent a complete makeover (facelift) in 2011. However, Jaguar XJ is all set to get a make over and its facelift would arrive next year where its exterior are expected to be tweaked partially. Surprisingly, it's still unknown that whether the engine specifications would be the same altogether or some newer engine technology would be introduced with it.
