As we reported earlier that Hyundai will unveil its flagship SUV, Santa Fe, in an all new avatar at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. In fact, It is also confirmed by the Hyundai dealers that delveries of this much anticipated SUV would commence by the end of February.
We contacted Hyundai delaers across the nation and they confirmed that vehicle will be launched in February 2014 itself. The company hasn't officially started taking the pre-orders for the car, however dealer level advance bookings have already started in several cities such as Delhi, Mumbai & Pune. The booking amount is varying from dealer to dealer as certain Hyundai dealers are booking the vehicle on a sum of Rs. 2 Lakh, while some others are doing it for Rs. 1 Lakh.
On being contacted, the dealers quoted, " You just book the vehicle today at Rs. 2 Lakh and the keys of first 2014 New Santa Fe would be handed over to you."
Hyundai Santa Fe facelift is expected to come with a few cosmetic changes in the exteriors and interiors. The vehicle, for the first time ever, would be manufactured at the Chennai plant to reduce its cost. As previously, it used to be sold enroute CBU and it made the flagship vehicle more pricy.
Hyundai will put this SUV against the Toyota Fortuner and most probably it would be coming with a price tag of Rs. 22 Lakhs.
