Jaguar's saloon, codenamed as X760, has been creating quite a buzz ever since it was announced. Now reports are further surfacing that its design has been signed off as per schedule and the prototype wil be ready by the last quarter of next year. It is very likely now that this saloon would be revealed as thinly veiled concept car at the Paris motor show in October 2014. It will be followed by its official showcasing as a final product at the Geneva Motor show in March 2015. Jaguar will put this saloon against the likes of BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-class.
Jaguar Desinger Boss, Ian Callum commented on the same by saying that he is done with the design work on this untitled vehicle. He abolished any possibility of change in design by adding that it would follow the current design trends of Jaguar. Exterior styling of this saloon may pay resemblance to the F-type and will be based on Jaguar’s new rear-drive all-aluminium architecture called iQ[Al], which stands for ‘intelligent aluminium architecture’.
Jaguar bosses have also given a clear indication of the saloon comprising of a whole range, that adds a SUV inspired by the C-X17 concept, a coupe lined against its contemporary BMW 4-series coupe and lastly a small estate. The officials without confirming anything also went on to say that they want to take full advantage of this versatile structure by not just tying up to one car; utilizing it perfectly to compile a whole range.
