Several reports are surfacing that Skoda is planning to showcase the four-door Octavia coupe at the Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to commence by early march 2014. It is also expected that the Czech auto-maker would also hold a screening of the concept. Skoda has left no stone unturned to make it super sporty and extremely eye-catching.
The Coupe would be having a low roofline, flat windscreen and windows without frames. The company has planned to put it against the Volkswagen Passat CC, and hence it has been desinged in a similar way. Furthermore, it is also said that it would have the wheelbase similar to that of the sedan. Also, the boot space doesn't make any difference with that of sedan as it would also be having a luggage carrying capacity of 1,500 litres, while the rear seats are folded.
Interior space might become an issue but Skoda is hopeful of the fact that people would acknowledge the styling quiotent rather than searching for the interior space. However, the interior cabin almost pays resemblance to the ongoing Skoda Octavia. Initially, the Czech auto-giant also thought about a three-door vehicle but then this idea was scrapped in favour of 4-door coupe as it looks more dynamic and stylish. It would be having the traditional Skoda grille, but with a merely widend glance. Additionally, headlights in triangular form with a brand new bumper will grace this elegant coupe. The mechanical aspects of the coupe won't be touched; being identical to ongoing Octavia.
