Amaze again drives Honda Cars India to post an excellent growth in the Indian car market. The company has posted a sales growth of 151 per cent during November 2013 by selling 9,332 units as against 3,711 units during the corresponding month last year.
The Japanese automaker registered an overall growth of 70 per cent in April - November 2013 with 80,163 units as against 47,236 units during the same period last year. The company sold 7598 units of Amaze compact sedan, while Brio hatch and CR-V accounted for 1712 and 22 units respectively. It also exported a total volume of 806 units in the month of November this year.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “Led by strong demand for Honda Amaze, HCIL has experienced robust sales month after month since April 2013. During November 2013, our sales grew up by 151%.This month was also important as we unveiled the all new 4th Generation Honda City in India and we are confident that we will enter a new era of Honda’s dominance in premium cars with City’s launch scheduled in January 2014.
