2014 Auto Expo Route plan

The upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo promises to a be grand affair for both manufacturers and the end consumer, not forgetting the enthusiasts themselves. However having said that, next year this automobile extravaganza is headed for a venue change being shifted out from Central Delhi's Pragati Maidan to India Expo Mart located at Greater Noida in the NCR region.

Spread over an area of 58 acres, India Expo Mart might not be as huge as the previous venue but still it offers 60,000 square meters of exhibition space providing facilities such as convention halls, VIP lounges, business lounges & centre, food court, restaurants, parking, warehouse and storage facilities to mention a few. Having mentioned this, we shall now take a look at various modes of transportation than would form the basis of movement for the public wanting to visit the show.

Delhi Metro: As we know, Delhi Metro is one of the most convenient form of transportation for the general public connecting various parts of the city with one another. Therefore in order to get to India Expo Mart one can opt for the metro as it connects Noida to Delhi with 'Noida City Centre' being its first and last stop. Though, the closest stop that one should target is 'Botanical Garden' as it will offer shuttle services to the venue along with availability of local transport.

Bus Services: Interstate bus services are available from the national capital wherein Sarai Kale Khan will be the center point. From here buses will depart on regular intervals for the NCR region especially Noida. Once in Noida, one can either get off at '18 sector market' or for that matter 'Botanical Garden' from where local buses can be availed to get to the venue. The approx distance between Sarai Kale Khan and Noida is of 10 kms after which an additional 20 kms will make you arrive to your final destination.

Airport: Currently neither Noida nor Greater Noida is connected via an air strip. Therefore, the closest airport that comes within the reach is that off Delhi which to point out is approximately 53 kms away from the venue and can be reached by car or a taxi. This fact stands true in the case of Domestic as well as the International airport.

Road: Individual traveling by their own vehicles can approach the venue from two directions when they are coming from Delhi. One is through 'Kalindi Kunj' touching the southern most part of the capital across the Yamuna moving towards Greater Noida Expressway making their right across to Greater Noida. The other being via DND flyway leading on to the Greater Noida Expressway and then right across the border. From Central Delhi the total distance is of about 41 kms however via the first alternative route this add up to 52 kms.
