Mugen tuned Honda Vezel performance edition revealed

The Japanese carmaker Honda that introduced the much-anticipated Vezel crossover in Japan, has now received the Mugen treatment.




Honda's new Urban SUV gets a full body kit which makes it look more aggressive than that of the standard version. It features a new front and rear spoilers, side skirts, air intakes and others. Buyers will have an option of having seven wheel designs to choose from in sizes of up to 18-inches.

A series of new accessories are also on offer with the crossover including high-pressure radiator cap, a carbon fibre cover for the rear view mirror, high-performance brake fluid and a carbon-like gear lever. Mugen is also offering a titanium exhaust system and high performance brake pads for the Vezel.

The Mugen tuned Vezel is now available for the Japanese buyers. The vehicle is available in two engine options- a 1.5-litre gasoline engine and a 1.5-litre hybrid mill.

Honda's line-up for the Detroit Motor Show 2014

Honda has chalked out its plans smoothly regarding the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Honda has confirmed that it would showcase the all new 2015 Honda Fit aka Jazz and the newly named 2015 Acura TLX Prototype at the Detroit Motor Show which is scheduled to be taking place in January, 2014.

As we told in our previous story that 2015 Honda Fit is an exquisite vehicle built upon the out going model's innovative packaging, flexible cargo capability and fun-to-drive character with added features such as new styling, an even more spacious and refined interior packed with leading-edge connected car technologies.

While the 2015 Fit being showcased at the Detroit Motor Show is known to almost everyone, very less people have even slightest of clue about the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype. The 2015 Acura TLX Prototype indicates the introduction of a performance luxury mid-size sedan which would eventually replace the current TL model. The TLX production will took off by the second half of 2014 and in accordance to it, Acura would discontinue sales of the TSX model in 2014. Instead, three distinguished models will be introduced to fill up its sedan line up. The models would be the entry luxury ILX, mid-size TLX sports sedan, and flagship RLX performance sedan.

Over 1 million Mercedes B-Class delivered to customers

Since the launch in 2005, Mercedes-Benz has delivered over 1 million B-Class to its customers globally. The sports tourer has done especially well in the German market and is the market leader in the compact MPV sector. Around 30 percent of B-Class customers previously drove a different brand of vehicle. Germany is the biggest market for the B-Class, followed by China.

“The B-Class is the perfect combination of sporty design, impressive driving dynamics and incomparable driving comfort,” says Ola Källenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing & Sales. “That’s what makes it so popular with our customers. What has been particularly noticeable with the current model is that we are reaching the most diverse customer groups, from families with children to active seniors.”

In India, the B-Class is being offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol model is powered by a 1.6-litre engine that develops 120bhp and 200Nm of torque, while the other gets the 2.2-litre oil burner producing 107bhp and 230Nm of peak torque.

2014 sees the launch of two new alternative drive technologies for the B-Class. Available in Europe from February, the B 200 Natural Gas Drive is powered by natural gas and is especially efficient and cost-effective to run.

Honda Vezel Crossover launched in Japan

Honda, that unveiled the Vezel Urban SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show, has launched the vehicle in the Japanese market. Based on the 2014 Jazz platform, the crossover is likely to be launched in the Indian car market as well in 2014-15.
 The exterior design of the Urban SUV was developed under the concept of "Dynamic Cross Solid." The unique and sharp character lines offers the SUV-like stable lower body and coupe like upper body. Its headlights features two LED lights on each side, and an LED light guiding stripe was adopted for all rear combination lamps for hybrid models. The rear outer door handles are integrated into the window graphics, creating a 2-door-coupe-like feel. The new Vezel is now available with eight body paints, depending on the variant.

For the buyers, Honda Vezel is being offered in two engine options- a 1.5-litre petrol and a hybrid engine. The gasoline mill churns out a maximum power output of 131PS and 155Nm of top torque, while the hybrid engine paired with a 1.5-litre unit with an electric motor, developing 132Ps.

The petrol powered Vezel is available in either a CVT or a 7-speed stepped CVT and is offered with 2WD and 4WD. This model returns an impressive 20.6kmpl (2WD) and 19kmpl (4WD) of mileage in Japanese driving cycle. Its hybrid model also get a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and it offers a fuel efficiency of 21.6kmpl to 27kmpl.

The entry level 2WD Vezel petrol is tagged at 1.85 million Yen (approx Rs. 11.10 lakh), while the base 4WD petrol is priced at 2.08 million Yen (around Rs. 12.30 lakh). The hybrid version is priced at 2.19 million Yen (around Rs. 13 lakh) for entry level model, while the price of top end variant is 2.68 million Yen (approx 16 lakh).

Naomi Ishii - The new Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Mr. Naomi Ishii as their new managing director. The announcement took place yesterday and Naomi Ishii was handed the proposed appointment letter. The formal appointment of the new MD will be made at the meeting of the Board of Directors of TKM, scheduled on 6th Jan 2014.

Naomi Ishii has spent over 20 years at the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in the Human Resources and Business Planning sectors. Most recently, he was serving as General Manager in TMC where he was responsible for the dealings in Product & Business Planning divisions. His predecessor, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, the current MD and CEO of TKM, will be moving back to Japan.

Mahindra First Choice Services opens four workshops in NCR

Mahindra First Choice Services introduced four workshops in the National Capital Region (NCR). The workshops are located at Noida Sector 63, Noida Sector 5, Greater Noida and Faridabad. With the inauguration of these four workshops, MFCS now has a network of 25 Company Owned and Company Operated (COCO) workshops nationally.


These four facilities cover an area of 75,000 sq. ftwith a combined bays count ofclose to 70. This will increase MFCS’ capacity to service multi-brand cars by 4000+ cars every month. The workshops were inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Dubey President (Group HR, Corporate Services & After-Market) & Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Hyundai to unveil the Grand i10 sedan on 4th of February, S-Class launch on 8th Jan

Hyundai has always been aggressive with its products and pricing and the company is once again ready to take the market by storm as it prepares to do the global unveiling of the Grand i10 sedan. Hyundai will be introducing this as a compact sedan and it will be powered by a 1.1-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engine. Mercedes-Benz on the other hand will was the last manufacturer to launch a car this year and might be the first to introduce a new product, which will be the S-Class on the 8th of January.
As the end of this year inches closer, we share the plans of all the manufacturers in the coming years.

Hyundai, Nissan, Mahindra and the list just goes on. It has been an incredible year in terms of new car launches, however the sales haven’t been encouraging. But it seems that automakers are still optimistic and the coming year will have more launches.

Chevrolet cars to get pricier by Rs. 10,000

General Motors India has announced a hike in prices of its entire lineup by up to Rs. 10,000. The rising input costs is the main reason behind such a decision and this increased prices will be effective from January 1.

“We plan to increase prices by up to Rs 10,000 across all our models from January 2014 to partially offset input cost pressure,” said P Balendran, Vice President, General Motors India.

General Motors now joins the league of other carmakers including Honda, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, who have already announced a price hike. Currently, the company sells Chevrolet Spark, Beat, Sail U-VA, Sail, Enjoy, Tavera, Cruze and Captiva.

Lamborghini Gallardo successor Huracan revealed, details inside

Leaving all the speculations behind, the Italian super sports carmaker Lamborghini has revealed the Huracan LP 610-4, which is the successor to the company's best selling Gallardo. The new model features a pure and unique design, an innovative technology package, outstanding dynamics and excellent quality. It is a perfect blend of absolute performance with easy-to-drive road behaviors and both luxurious and sport-oriented finish.

 The Lamborghini Huracan will make its world public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Before this, the Huracan will be the show-stopper of over 130 private preview events in more than 60 cities globally from January 2014. The company derive the name of its latest beast from the world of bullfighting. The fighting bull Huracan of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed was known for his outstanding courage and strong sense of attack.

What impresses the most is its dry weight of just 1,422kg, thanks to the new hybrid chassis which is an integrated structure of carbon and aluminum elements. Under the hood, the Huracan gets the 5.2-litre V10 engine that churns out a massive power output of 610bhp at 8,250rpm and a peak torque of 560Nm at 6,500rpm. In the new ‘‘Iniezione Diretta Stratificata’’ (IDS), direct and indirect gasoline injections are smartly combined. This results in more power and torque with lower fuel consumption and emissions compared with the Gallardo V10 engine. The top speed of over 325 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds only partially describe the dynamic experience at the wheel of the Huracán. Also thanks to the Stop & Start technology, the combined EU consumption figure has been further reduced to 12.5 liters per 100 km (290 g/km CO2 emissions). The engine complies with EU6 emissions regulation.

The power of the V10 engine is brought to the road via the new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission ‘‘Lamborghini Doppia Frizione’’ (LDF) and fully electronically controlled four-wheel drive system. The different driving modes of the Huracán can be selected via a driving dynamics selector switch in the steering wheel -- from traction-oriented on the road to extreme performance on the race track, with three setups of the dynamics system: STRADA, SPORT and CORSA.

Not only are the main headlamps of the Huracan equipped with full LED illumination, but all other light functions also feature state-of-the-art LED technology as a standard feature for the first time in the segment. The interior is dominated by an innovative cockpit. A 12.3 inch full-color TFT instrument panel delivers all car information to the driver, from rev counter to navigation maps and infotainment functions, and can be configured by the driver in different setups. Fine Nappa leather and Alcantara distinguish the interior, with several color combinations offered to ensure broad individualization options. The design of dashboard and central tunnel underline a new lightness in the interior. Superb craftsmanship guarantees the highest quality and sense of luxury throughout.

Volkswagen rolls out 'GLI Edition 30' to mark 3 decades of Jetta GLI - USA

As already known several times, the new vehicle would sport an updated 5.2-litre V10 engine from its predecessor Gallardo. It would be able to churn out a maximum power output of around 600bhp, while the maximum torque figures stand around at 542Nm. Moreover, the engine would be in accordance with new Euro 6-emissions and undoutedly, would come with a 6-speed manual transmission.

This new car is being speculated to be presented at Geneva Motor Show which is scheduled to be taking place in March 2014, henceby making its global debut. Although, the new supercar has been spotted multiple times during its test runs in different guises.

Honda Freed MPV to come India by 2016?

Honda Cars India seems very aggressive with its strategies in India and is planning to launch several new exciting products in the years to come. The company will launch new City, Mobilio MPV, new Jazz and a compact SUV, could be Vezel in the next two years. Moreover, reports are also claiming that Honda is doing feasibility study in India to introduce a mini car against the likes of Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon. Interestingly, a report published on ET claims that the Japanese car manufacturer might launch its globally successful MPV 'Freed' in the country.

Honda will bring the next generation Freed, which will also make its global debut by 2015-16. It is a well known fact that Toyota Innova is the most popular MPV in India since its introduction in 2005. The reason to introduce a bigger MPV would be that this segment only comprise of Innova and their is a huge possibility to capture more market by introducing a good product in this segment.

Toyota is also working on the next generation Innova, which is expected to be launched by the 2016 in India. This is going to be interesting, as two models with enormous potential will be introduced at the same time in India. However, it will be a tough task for Honda to beat Innova, which has been the country's top favorite model.

BMW ranks highest in Customer Service Satisfaction in India- J.D. Power

BMW, the German luxury carmaker ranks highest among luxury brands in Customer Service Satisfaction in India, according to the J.D Power Asia Pacific 2013 India Customer Service Index StudySM. In India, luxury vehicle owners place a premium on time, so the faster that dealerships service their vehicle, the higher their level of satisfaction.



The study, which for the first time measures after-sales experience satisfaction separately in two segments – luxury and mass market. It measures satisfaction among luxury vehicle owners who visit an authorized dealership service center for maintenance or repair work between the first 12 to 24 months of ownership. The study measures overall satisfaction in five factors (listed in order of importance): service quality; vehicle pick-up; service advisor; service facility; and service initiation. Overall customer satisfaction is measured on a 1,000-point scale, with a higher score indicating higher satisfaction.

Overall satisfaction among customers whose vehicles after service are returned within four hours is 907 index points. This is 65 points higher than among those whose vehicle servicing takes more than four hours.

Additionally, luxury vehicle owners expect their dealerships to be proactive in all forms of communication. They expect service advisors to keep them informed throughout the service process, beginning when they arrive at the dealership with an explanation of the work to be performed and an expectation of when it will be finished, to a thorough explanation after the service is completed. These activities are standard expectations among luxury customers which have a significant negative impact when they are not performed.

Luxury vehicle owners who are highly satisfied with dealer service tend to have higher levels of advocacy and loyalty to the dealership and the brand. Among luxury owners who are “highly satisfied” with their service experience at the dealership (overall service satisfaction scores of 973 and higher), 98 percent say they “definitely would” revisit their service dealer for post-warranty service. In comparison, only 57 percent of “highly dissatisfied” owners (overall service satisfaction scores of 820 and lower) indicate the same. Similarly, 91 percent of “highly satisfied” owners say they “definitely would” purchase their next vehicle from the service dealer, compared with just 37 percent of those who are “highly dissatisfied.”

Overall luxury customer satisfaction with their dealership service experience averages 876 in 2013, 42 points higher than the mass market average of 834. BMW ranks highest among luxury brands in customer satisfaction with a score of 892. BMW performs particularly well in the service advisor factor.

The 2013 India Customer Service Index Study for the luxury segment is based on evaluations from 238 vehicle owners. The study was fielded from May to August 2013 and includes owners who purchased their vehicle between May 2011 and August 2012

Aston Martin and Daimler sign technical partnership agreement

Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd and Daimler AG have signed an agreement for a significant technical partnership between Aston Martin, Daimler and Mercedes-AMG GmbH, a 100% subsidiary and high-performance brand of German automotive corporation Daimler AG.

Following the signing of a Letter of Intent in July the two companies have continued to work together, exploring opportunities for co-operation and these discussions have resulted in the signing of definitive agreements.

The agreement will allow Mercedes-AMG and Aston Martin to develop bespoke V8 engines supporting Aston Martin’s launch of a next generation of models that will incorporate cutting edgetechnology and newly-developed engines, combining high performance and fuel efficiency.

Daimler will receive up to five percent non-voting shares in Aston Martin without cash consideration in several steps following the progress of the technical partnership. At the same time, the company will receive an observer status on the Aston Martin Holdings board. Daimler joins Aston Martin’s existing shareholder body that includes Primewagon, Adeem Investment and Investindustrial.

The parties are working to conclude the terms of an additional cooperation for the supply of electric/electronic (E/E) components. Furthermore, the two groups will investigate additional areas of cooperation in the future.

Aston Martin will continue to manufacture all of its sports cars at its Gaydon headquarters in Warwickshire, England.

A spokesperson for the Aston Martin board said: “Our company is this year celebrating its centenary, and the partnership agreed today underpins prospects for Aston Martin’s bright, vibrant and dynamic second century in the sports car business.”

“This strategic collaboration for Aston Martin will,in our next generation of luxury sports cars, offer our customers increased performance and efficiency whilst retaining the unique character and style of an Aston Martin.”

It is an indispensable vehicle to Honda and it can be acknowledged by the fact that a whopping 4.87 million units were sold in the lone month of September, 2013. But for the very first time, the new 2015 Fit for the U.S market will be assembled in an all new manufacturing plant in Celaya, Mexico in North America.

BMW does an Auto Couture with Suneet Varma

BMW India and renowned fashion designer Suneet Varma presented an exclusive fashion extravaganza, celebrating the timeless design of BMW’s immensely successful four-door sedan, the new BMW 5 Series.

Spread over three days, amidst the splendid grandeur of the Dusit Devarana, a luxurious urban resort, the show saw stalwarts from various walks of life join the celebration of excellence.

The new BMW 5 Series has three exclusive design schemes – the Luxury Line, the Modern Line and the M Sport. M Sport celebrates the future-oriented sporty design and dynamics of the new BMW 5 Series. Each Line creates perfect harmony between design and features for the exterior and the interior.

Inspired by the beautiful metallic Imperial Blue colour of the new BMW 5 Series Luxury Line, the collection comprises sophisticated evening wear including specially created hand-cut and hand-embroidered outfits with trendy swing coats, fitted stretch satin draped dresses and off shoulder silhouettes adorned with Swarovski crystals and belted details. The black interior of the sedan is reflected in the accent- black leather jackets, tasseled stoles, organza ruffles, bows, belts and stoles.
The contemporary Jatoba Brown colour of the new BMW 5 Series Modern line inspires the second collection. The collection comprises stylized saris as dresses, tiered skirts in georgettes with corsets and jackets, short dresses, narrow pants, draped dresses with sheer tulle embroidered necklines, 3D flowers, Swarovski crystals and stoles. The Oyster color interior is seen in brown to oyster-shaded wispy and flowy chiffons that add to the languid style of the collection.

Audi R18 e-tron quattro to feature laser light

Audi that premiered the new Audi R18 e-tron quattro, has also revealed another technical highlight of its new LMP1 sports car. In 2014, the sports car will be running with laser light for the first time in the Le Mans 24 hours and in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).


The innovative laser light, which about 500 guests in attendance at the ‘Audi Sport Finale’ had the chance to experience live for the first time, complements the main LED headlights of the new Audi R18 e-tron quattro. A blue laser beam backlights a yellow phosphorus crystal lens through which the light beam is then emitted. This new light source provides even more homogenous lighting of the road.

The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) will see Audi Sport Team Joest compete as the title defender in the 2014 season. In all eight races of the 2014 WEC, the World Champions will be running with two Audi R18 e-tron quattro cars. For the season’s pinnacle event at Le Mans on June 14/15, 2014, the fielding of a third R18 is planned. The driver teams will be announced at a later date.

In the DTM, Audi will continue the successful long-standing partnership with the Audi Sport Teams Abt Sportsline, Phoenix and Rosberg. For the 2014 season, a new version of the Audi RS 5 DTM that was victorious in the DTM in the past season is in the making at Audi Sport. Mike Rockenfeller, as the title defender, in car number ‘1,’ will definitely be driving one of the eight RS 5 DTM cars to be fielded in total. Assignments for the other cockpits and the distribution to the three teams have not been finalised yet.

In GT sport, Audi Sport customer racing will again be providing particularly intensive support to its customer teams for the 24-hour races at Daytona (USA), the Nürburgring (Germany) and Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium).

Following the merger of the GRAND-AM and the American Le Mans Series into the Tudor United SportsCar Championship (TUSCC), a new chapter will begin in U.S. racing. Based on the previous race car for the USA, Audi has developed a GTD version of the R8 LMS, with GTD standing for ‘GT Daytona.’ The GTD version now only differs from the GT3 model in few details.

The Audi R8 LMS Cup in its third season is taking the next step in its internationalization effort in the Asian region. In 2014, aside from three races in China – among others, held in conjunction with the WEC at Shanghai and the DTM at Guangzhou – the world’s first one-make cup of AUDI AG will take place in Malaysia, in South Korea and, for the first time, in Japan. Following the fielding of 16 race cars in the inaugural season and 20 last year, Audi China is planning to put up to 24 Audi R8 LMS cars on the grid.
2014 Indian Auto Expo. We previously updated you regarding the luxury cars that are to be showcased in the event taking place in Februray, 2014. Now Let's talk about some immensely significant unveilings, scheduled to take place at the Expo from the leading and most popular manufacturers of the country. So, here are the top five unveilings and launches going to take place at 2014 Indian Auto Expo:

1. Maruti Suzuki YL1 Sedan: Ever since this sedan (codenamed YL1) was caught testing on highways, it was touted as the company's replacement for its flagship sedan, SX4. Speculations are sky-high regarding its global debut at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, followed by the launch some 6 months later on. It has received several modifications in the exterior and interiors, which are quite visible. It will be manufactured at the Maruti's Manesar plant and will be pitted against the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Jetta etc. Its exterior appearance indicates that it is build up on Maruti's existing MPV Ertiga's structure. It will arrive in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. The petrol variants would be offered with 1.4-litre K2 engine which is already serving its duties to company's another vehicle Maruti Ertiga. The diesel variants would sport 1.3-litre DDiS. It might be sharing its interior with Swift and Ertiga, but it is expected to be more advanced and up market in terms of features, as it is the replacement of the company's flagship sedan SX4.

2. Honda Mobilio & Honda Jazz: It has been confirmed that Honda will showcase two of its future cars for the Indian auto sector at the 2014 Auto Expo and the two products are none other than MPV Mobilio and premium hatchback Jazz. Both these vehicles would be launched in petrol and diesel fuel trims, simultaneously. Honda Jazz is expected to be fit between the companys's sedan Amaze and hatchback Brio while competing against Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift etc.

On the other hand, as already known, Honda Mobilio is based on Brio hatchback and it would be standing up against the current market leaders of this segment, Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. As far as engine options are concerned, the diesel variants of both these vehicles would sport Honda's 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that is also performing duties to Amaze. There would be distinguished petrol engines for both these vehicles as Honda Jazz would comprise a 1.2-litre mill, while the Mobilio MPV would be having 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine.

3. Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan: Hyundai is all set to roll out a compact sedan based on Grand i10 on February 4, 2014, two days ahead of the Indian Auto Expo. It was revealed when the spy shots of this new vehicle emerged while it was on test runs around Tamilnadu where Hyundai's manufacturing unit is located. By the introduction of this compact sedan, Hyundai would also announce its arrival in the ever-growing and highly competitive segment where there are already several vehicles present like Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze. It would be presented in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with the same engines that currently come with Grand i10 hatch. The engines are a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit and a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder diesel mill. Surprisingly, Hyundai wouldn't offer it with 1.4-litre diesel engine, which is currently offered with its flagship hatchback i20. The transmission would also be borrowed from its elder sibling as the diesel will get only manual transmission while the petrol one would be having both manual and automatic transmission. Still there is a lot of suspense on the pricing, but it is likely to be come in a price bracket of 5-6 Lakh.

4. Tata compact hatch and sedan: Tata Motors is also in race like every other automaker to introduce two new vehicles at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. However, everything is currently under wraps and Tata Motors hasn't leaked a single detail of the yet-to-be-unveiled vehicles. Still, it has been revealed that out of the two vehicles, one will be a hatchback while the other would be a compact sedan. Both of these vehicles would fall under the company's Falcon project. These two vehicles would be the first ones from Tata Motors after a long gap of 3 years as the company had launched the Aria crossover in 2010. Both these untitled vehicle are bulit on the company's X1 platform. Its the same platform on which Indica Vista and Manza models were based. Tata has manufactured these vehicles with a vision to sell them in international markets too and if that is not enough, it has gone a step further by launching both the vehicles in petrol and diesel fuel trims in order to lure more people.

5. Jeep Wrangler & Cherokee: Fiat has finally put an end to all the rumors by announcing that it will unveil its Jeep brand with two vehicles, entitled Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Cherokee at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Furthermore, these two vehicles were also spotted in Pune during their test runs. The Jeep Wrangler would be offered with a powerful 2.8-litre engine, while Jeep Cherokee would have a more powerful 3.0-litre, turbocharged, V6 diesel engine. Nothing concrete is known about the pricing of these two vehilces yet, but it is expected that Jeep Wrangler would come around a price range of 25-28 Lakhs and its older sibling would cost a hefty sum of around 55 Lakh. The sales of both these vehicles are expected to commence by the end of 2014.

Honda Vezel Urban SUV to go on sale in Japan tomorrow

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will begin sales of the Vezel crossover in Japan on December 20, 2013. The company unveiled the Urban SUV at the recently concluded 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and it is also expected to make its way to the Indian car market.



The Vezel SUV shows a perfect combination of dynamic qualities of SUV, the elegance of a coupe and the functionality of minivan. The elegant exterior design of the vehicle express SUV-like stability in its lower body and coupe like styling in its upper body. Based on the 2014 Honda Jazz platform, it features curves, low roofline and a broader stance.

The interior truly shows the company's philosophy of "Man Maximum Machine Minimum", which offers a coupe like personal space for the front seats. At the same time, Honda's center-tank layout enables a large cargo space and minivan like rear seats with ample elbowroom.

For the Japanese buyers, Honda Vezel will be offered in both hybrid and gasoline models. The hybrid model will be equipped with SPORT HYBRID i-DCD, Honda's next generation Hybrid System that combines a 1.5-litre direct injection engine with a high-output motor. The petrol version will get the 1.5-litre direct injection mill.

Electronic Parking Brake and the Automatic Brake Hold will be the standard equipments in all Vezel types. Moreover, the hybrid variant features the Reactive Force Pedal that assists fuel-efficient driving by appealing reactive force to the accelerator.
