The German luxury carmaker, BMW is all set to make a strong impression at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014. The company will unveil a series of new cars including 3 Series GT, i8 hybrid sportscar, M6 Gran Coupe and new generation X5. Moreover, the Hall number 15 will also display the all-new MINI models.

This model is longer, wider and taller than the 3- Series and offers the spaciousness of 5-Series, the dynamics of X3 and has the compactness of 3-Series saloon. Its wheelbase has been extended by 100mm to offer more interior space for rear passengers. The new 3 Series GT will be made available in two diesel engine options- 4-cylinder 320d and 6-cylinder 330d. Both the engines will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The high-performance 6-Series Gran Coupe is already on sale in India, and the vehicle comes powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that churns out a massive 552bhp. The new generation X5 looks identical to its predecessor, however the company has given significant changes to the model, which added to its sportiness.
With the introduction of i8 petrol-electric hybrid sportscar, BMW will officially introduced its i-brand in the Indian car market. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that develops 231bhp and 320Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to an electric motor, which churns out a maximum power output of 131bhp and 250Nm of torque. When both this powertrains combined together, they offers an impressive 362bhp of power and 570Nm of highest torque. This hybrid sportscar accelerates to 100kmph from zero in mere 4.5 seconds.
BMW Group-owned Mini brand will be displaying a fleet of cars including the Mini Cooper hatchback and convertible and the Mini Countryman SUV in both petrol and diesel guise. Moreover, the company will also present a range of accessories from the John Cooper Works high-performance sub-brand, which will be fitted to the Mini Countryman S SUV.
