Mercedes-Benz India is geared up to launch the all-new S-Class tomorrow in India. The saloon was speculated to arrive at Indian Auto Expo in February, but considering the market demand, the company has pre-poned its arrival. At the initial stage, the German auto-giant will introduce only the top end S 500 variant which will come en-route CBU, and would be powered by a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 453bhp and 700Nm of top torque. The engine performance is quite exemplary with the minute time of 5.7 seconds taken to cruise from 0-100kmph.
The new S-Class model is a perfect saloon redefining luxury, owing to the sheer engineering done in order to make it an exclusive premium saloon. In terms of comfort, the all-new S-Class will offer convenience and comfort to the occupants with utter disdain. As far as pricing is concerned, the next generation S-Class is expected to be in between Rs. 1.5 crore to Rs. 1.7 crore.
At the later stage, the company will introduce the S 350 CDI diesel variant and that would be in mid 2014. The saloon will bound class-leading safety features and some of the most exotic interior as well as infotainment features to it.
