Detroit Motor Show gets its newest visitor in the form of the atrocious Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG as the supercar is scheduled to make its debut at the show commencing from next week. As known, the concept GLA 45 AMG has already been showcased at the prestigious Los Angeles Motor Show last year in November.
Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG carries the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine which is already available in A 45 AMG and the CLA 45 AMG. It is being touted as most powerful four-cylinder engine in the world, owing to the enormous power of 360bhp and peak torque of 450Nm that it delivers to the vehicle. As a subsequent result of this power, the vehicle touches the 100kmph barrier from standstill in a mere 4.8 seconds. Top speed lies in the 250-260 kmph mark.
Mercedes-Benz has not forget to indulge its traditional 4MATIC all-wheel drive system in the GLA 45 AMG. Furthermore, the 2.0-litre engine is mated to a AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission in order to maximize performance and acceleration. The AMG speed-sensitive sports steering with specific, speed-dependent power assist ensures high steering precision and agility. The AMG high-performance braking system with vented, cross-drilled brake discs all-round and grey-painted brake callipers provides for spontaneous and reliable deceleration. It is speculated to be priced around Rs. 40-45 Lakh.
